Canyoning
We descend them by walking, sliding, jumping and abseiling on the rope.
Despite its American name, canyoning was born in Europe towards the end of the 19th century as a scientific exploratory activity. It remained so throughout the 20th century and only took on a sporting character at the end of the 1970s. Today it is practised in many regions of Europe, and the Upper Garda area offers numerous routes of remarkable beauty. Long, breathtaking slides, jumps into crystal-clear pools, abseils down beautiful waterfalls… intense emotions in settings where nature is extraordinary.
Around Lake Garda, within a radius of just a few kilometres, we can reach several canyons recognised as true gems at European level. For those who have never tried this activity, we recommend the Rio Nero canyon: intermediate level and great fun. The Palvico canyon is also suitable as a first experience, as is Tignale Half. These are half-day activities and fun is guaranteed. There are also routes for the whole family, so you can have fun with your children too on our “Family Canyoning” trip. If, on the other hand, you are already fairly experienced and want something more challenging, an experience that leaves its mark, we have just what you need: Rio Nero Integrale!
