My name is Claudio, I was born in 1981 in a small village in the Po Valley: “So how did someone from the plains end up in the mountains?” That's more or less what everyone asks me!
I started climbing just for fun in 2008… and I haven't been able to stop playing since.
My mountaineering has always followed the cycle of the seasons, trying to savour every moment spent in the mountains to the full, with friends or on my own.
My record includes first repeats, new routes, link-ups, solo ascents and speed climbs; in a group, with a trusted rope partner, but also alone, just me and myself. In short, I like to experience the mountains in every way and in all their facets, summer and winter, ranging across the entire Alpine arc… I don't miss out on anything!
Now I work as a UIAGM/IFMGA international mountain guide, or rather I “make dreams come true”, as a very dear friend puts it.
“Mountain guide”: an ambition that was born and grew slowly inside me, a bit like my passion for the mountains. Before I even realised it, “going to the mountains” had become part of everyday life, day after day, emotion after emotion, probably without my really knowing where I wanted to go!
It's a unique stroke of luck to be able, every time, to fill my rucksacks with so many different experiences.
The MOUNTIME mountaineering school is made up of UIAGM/IFMGA international mountain guides who work full-time in this profession, both in summer and in winter.
