Ski Mountaineering: Advanced Course
Three days at high altitude and two evenings of theory, covering techniques for moving across glaciers and glacier safety
A course comprising three practical outings and two theory sessions, aimed at enthusiasts who already have a few seasons of ski mountaineering under their belt. The aim is to refine technique on more challenging terrain, learn to move safely on glaciers and gain greater independence at high altitude.

The course will cover a number of key topics: handling additional equipment (rope, ice axe and crampons), using digital maps and GPS to navigate safely in the mountains, and the advanced progression techniques required to tackle more challenging terrain.
The course comprises two theory sessions on dates to be confirmed, followed by practical outings to three of the most beautiful locations in Trentino: Lagorai, the Dolomites and Adamello.

Costs, terms and equipment
The price includes
- With you, a UIAGM-certified Mountain Guide: preparation, safety and technical support at every stage of the activity.
- Hire of the self-rescue kit: avalanche transceiver, shovel and probe.
- Third-party liability insurance
The price does not include
- The transport costs will be shared amongst the participants.
- The option of staying overnight in a mountain hut is to be agreed with the participants.
- Anything not expressly listed under "The price includes".
Equipment
- Personal kit: a full set of ski touring equipment, clothing suitable for winter outdoor activities including snow gloves, a hat and sunglasses, a rucksack with a flask and hot drinks, snacks, and a full change of clothes.
