Selvaggio Blu

“Where the rock meets the sea. Described as the most challenging trek in Italy, Selvaggio Blu is perhaps also the most original.

A true adventure amongst cliffs and canyons overlooking the sea, along rugged and winding paths. Technically, this is within the reach of any hiker with a good sense of adaptability (you’ll be sleeping outdoors), who is prepared to walk for several hours a day over varied terrain involving short climbs, abseils and long, exposed ledges.

Programme

Technically, the route is suitable for any hiker who is adaptable (you’ll be sleeping outdoors) and willing to walk an average of 7–8 hours a day over fairly rugged terrain. A few short climbing sections, abseils and long, exposed ledges add a bit of excitement, but these are always managed safely by the mountain guide accompanying you.

Day 1: Independent arrival (by plane or overnight ferry) in Santa Maria Navarrese.
Days 2–6: Selvaggio Blu trek from Santa Maria Navarrese to Cala Sisine and return by sea in rubber dinghies.
Day 7: Return to the mainland (possible as early as the previous evening for those who need to, by overnight ferry to Livorno).

* If the participants agree, we can organise a shared minibus leaving from Trento and travelling by ferry.
