My name is Simone and I live in Ranzo, a small village set in the beauty of the Sarca Valley. I played lots of sports as a child, but when I discovered sport climbing at the age of 16 my life was turned upside down: nothing had ever given me such enthusiasm before.
Through climbing I discovered the mountains; the great walls of the Dolomites were the setting for many adventures. I alternated summer seasons of fascinating climbs and knife-edge ridges with winter seasons of superb ski tours and frozen waterfalls.
This passion led me to specialise, becoming an aspirant mountain guide in 2007 and gaining the UIAGM/IFMGA international mountain guide diploma and the mountaineering instructor qualification in 2010. My drive to improve led me to become a national mountain guide instructor in 2016 and a national canyoning guide instructor in 2017.
I love this job because seeing the people I guide make their dreams come true gives me a real sense of fulfilment.
After working in Arco for a few years as a mountain guide, I sat down at a table with 5 great friends of mine, whom I hold in high regard, and that's where the idea of "MounTime", our group, was born! In no time at all we turned our passion for being mountain guides into reality!
The MOUNTIME mountaineering school is made up of UIAGM/IFMGA international mountain guides who work full-time in this profession, both in summer and in winter.
