Marco Pellegrini

My name is Marco Pellegrini, but everyone knows me as “Pelle”.
I was born and raised in Tione di Trento, a small town set between the granite of the imposing Adamello group and the dolomite rock of the striking Brenta Dolomites.
Was it the good fortune of living here that made me fall for the mountains, or has this passion always been part of me? Who knows… The fact is that, from a young age, I spent my afternoons in the woods looking for a tree or a rock to climb and a stream to explore. As soon as the snow fell, I was up and down the little ski slope near home with skis on my feet. As I grew up, my trusted friends became my rope partners and we began to take on real mountains: rock faces, knife-edge ridges, frozen waterfalls and snowy slopes, on increasingly demanding routes.

Before long, my curiosity to venture beyond my home mountains led me to discover a love of travel, and ever since, whenever I get the chance, whether by plane, ferry or van, I head off to new places in search of new experiences.
After qualifying as a surveyor I worked in an office for a few years and realised it wasn't the path for me. So I decided to enrol on the courses to become a mountain guide and, after an exciting period of “study”, I achieved my long-cherished goal. I now work as a UIAGM/IFMGA international mountain guide with MOUNTIME, who made me feel part of the group right from the start.
