Francesco Nardelli

Everyone has always called me Franz or Eskimo (some would say it's because I like the cold… or maybe it's just down to my narrow eyes).

I grew up in a small village near Trento. I think I've always had a kind of "call to adventure" that drew me towards nature and the mountains.

At first it was just a matter of exploring the woods around my home, but as I grew up I needed wider horizons. I travelled, met new people, tried new food and discovered new cultures. I wanted to push on to ever more remote places; I needed something more, and so I took up climbing and ski touring.

I fell in love with mountaineering in all its forms. I have always enjoyed sharing my passion and experience with my friends and climbing partners and, now that I am a UIAGM/IFMGA international mountain guide, with the people I work with too.

I believe that sharing the two ends of a rope can create a special bond.

I recently started working with the Mountime group and I'm grateful and proud to be part of the team!
