My name is Federico Monegatti and I am a UIAGM/IFMGA international mountain guide. I live in a small mountain village on the Altopiano di Pinè, surrounded by the Lagorai range in Trentino; woods, streams and mountain boots have been my companions in adventure ever since I was a child.
At the age of 15 I discovered ski touring and the vertical dimension that the mountains can offer through climbing, on rock and ice alike; today, just like the first time, I'm thrilled whenever I tie the rope into my harness and set off on a new adventure, for pleasure or for work.
Being a mountain guide is a unique and special job: the people I guide put themselves, body and soul, in my hands and in my knowledge, whether to reach a long-dreamed-of summit or to see their child happy climbing for the first time. The result is a wonderful relationship of trust.
If you too would like to tie into my rope for a day in close contact with the mountains, don't hesitate to get in touch: together we'll do something special.
The MOUNTIME mountaineering school is made up of UIAGM/IFMGA international mountain guides who work full-time in this profession, both in summer and in winter.
